Frank Tyson, a 53-year-old Black man, tragically lost his life at the hands of law enforcement while being apprehended in Canton, Ohio.

His fatal encounter began when he crashed his car into a utility pole and attempted to flee the scene. During the attempted handcuffing, one officer applied pressure to Mr. Tyson's back, leading him to desperately cry out, "I can't breathe."

Shockingly, his pleas for help fell on deaf ears, and he ultimately succumbed to this injustice. It took a full five minutes after his distress call for any attempt at resuscitation to be made, echoing the tragic echoes of George Floyd's ordeal.

How many more times must we witness such blatant disregard for the lives of Black men? The officers responsible have been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation. But can this be deemed sufficient? I firmly contend that it is not. This pattern of violence must be halted immediately.
